Bitcoin (BTC-USD) — alongside other crypto assets — has had a monumental year, with the cryptocurrency rallying after the 2024 election and hitting above $100,000 for the first time. Two Prime founder and CEO Alexander Blume joins Seana Smith and Madison Mills on Catalysts to share several of his 2025 predictions for the crypto space.
Blume predicts the US is going to declare bitcoin a strategic reserve asset, either through the absorption of confiscated bitcoin or bipartisan legislation that could lead the US Treasury Department to buy up to another million bitcoin.
“I think there may be the political will to actually approve that bill as well,” Blume says. “It’s also significant not just the US doing it, but it will set a tone for other countries to follow suit, just as other countries have collected gold in the past.
