Charlie Austin believes Manchester United should turn to Sean Dyche if they decide to sack Ruben Amorim, claiming the former Burnley and Everton boss would “bring structure and stability” to the struggling Premier League giants.
Amorim was already under increasing pressure after just seven wins in his first 29 league games in charge but his job security was weakened further following last night’s dismal EFL Cup defeat at Grimsby Town.

Austin worked under Dyche at Burnley – who are United’s next opponents at the weekend – and is confident the 54-year-old, who was sacked by Everton in January, would end the current malaise at Old Trafford.
He told Sky Sports News: “My honest opinion is that you have to look at the jobs that Sean Dyche has done at Burnley, what he did at Everton. He stabilised the club, at least he is going to put structure in there.
“What Manchester United need right now is structure. That is something they do not have.
“That’s a man that will come in and make the team a lot better than what we are all seeing at the moment. Last night we didn’t see a team. We saw players just go out there and do what they want.”

Dyche has already touted himself for the job at United.
Speaking at the end of last season, he told the Stick to Football podcast: “He [Amorim] is not going to change the way he plays.
“He better win some games – pretty quick. I reckon if I went there and played my way, we’d win more games. Just 4-4-2 – give them basic rules of principles.
“We’re all going, ‘Fair play’ – but, he’s been there a while now, so you better start bringing some wins soon.”
Dyche also admitted it had always been his dream to manage United.
“It was always Manchester United because of the size of the club, not because it’s Man U – but due to the sheer grandeur,” he said.
“I know they are going through a tough run at the minute, but the whole worldwide feel of it. That’s a big superpowered club.”
