SoFi just put its credit cards on a blockchain. Customers won’t notice.
SoFi Bank went live settling debit and credit card transactions in its own stablecoin across Mastercard’s network. It is the first nationally chartered US bank to move card settlement onto a public blockchain, and the program handles more than $25 billion a year. You swipe a normal card. The merchant gets normal dollars. Only the plumbing changed.
