This new addition appears to share similarities with Microsoft’s Copilot, as it utilizes cloud-based processing and requires users to sign in with a Microsoft account.

Faster Launch Time for Notepad

For those who aren’t using the AI features or don’t sign in, Microsoft promises a significant improvement in Notepad’s startup time. According to Microsoft’s Dave Grochocki, this update allows Notepad to open 35% to 55% faster than before.

Currently, these new features are available only to a limited group of testers in selected regions. If testing goes smoothly, these innovations will become part of the stable release for Windows users worldwide.
