Ather Energy has expanded its popular 450 series by introducing a new 450S variant powered by a larger 3.7kWh battery pack. Priced at Rs 1,45,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru), the upgraded scooter now delivers an IDC-certified range of 161 km on a single charge, offering a compelling mix of range and performance.
The new variant is designed to bridge the gap between the entry-level 450S (2.9kWh) and the premium 450X, targeting riders seeking extended battery range without the added cost of advanced software features.

The 450S 3.7kWh retains Ather’s signature design language, including sharp bodywork and a full LED headlamp setup. Despite the bigger battery, the scooter maintains its nimble handling and dynamic ride quality.

It continues to be powered by a 5.4kW electric motor that delivers 22Nm of torque, enabling 0–40 km/h acceleration in just 3.9 seconds. The scooter has a top speed of 90 km/h and offers four riding modes: SmartEco, Eco, Ride, and Sport.
Tech-loaded features
The 450S 3.7kWh comes equipped with a 7-inch DeepView display, Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and a host of smart features like AutoHold, FallSafe, emergency stop signal, theft and tow alerts, and Amazon Alexa integration via AtherStack Pro.
It also supports OTA (over-the-air) updates and is fully compatible with the Ather Grid fast-charging network, which now has over 3,300 charging points across India.

Charging from 0 to 80 per cent at home takes just 4 hours and 30 minutes using Ather’s home charging setup. The scooter is covered under Ather’s ‘Eight70’ warranty program, which offers coverage for 8 years or 80,000 km and ensures a minimum of 70 per cent battery health.
