Beryl remained a tropical storm Sunday as it’s expected to make landfall in Texas as a Category 1 or Category 2 hurricane early Monday morning. The National Hurricane Center says the storm is forecast to bring dangerous storm surge, flash flooding, and strong winds to parts of the state. Dozens of counties are under a state disaster declaration and evacuation orders have been issued in areas like Corpus Christi and Galveston. Residents in Houston are being urged to stay off the roads after 10pm Central time.
Corpus Christi Mayor Paulette Guajardo joins LiveNOW’s Andy Mac to explain how residents are bracing for Beryl.
