Organized in collaboration with MYRIAD, one of the main highlights of this edition of the Paris Blockchain Week is the Start in Block competition. Through this competition, the organizers aim to identify and support promising startups in the blockchain sector by providing them a platform to present their products and innovations to a global audience.

For this year’s pitch 12 shortlisted teams will take to the stage as well as receive a booth in the PBW Startup Village. The competition will finally culminate on the last Master Stage, where the judges will award prizes to three winners. Key industry thinkers such as Akshat Vaidya, Managing Partner and Co-Founder of blockchain firm Maelstrom; Nathan Shiron, Head of iExec ecosystem; and Cosmin Staiku, Director of Listings of Bit2Me, will form this competition’s judging panel.

On-Site Hackathons and Product Launches @ Paris Blockchain Week 2025
The PBW will also bear witness to an on-site hackathon from April 5 to 6, 2025, organized by the layer 1 blockchain platform Bahamut. Developers will be tasked to build decentralized applications (dApps) using Bahamut’s Proof of Stake and Activity (PoSA) consensus mechanism. The hackathon offers a price pool of $10,000 for the best projects that can effectively leverage the platform’s technology to create scalable and efficient blockchain solutions.
Notably, BYDFi, a crypto exchange platform, will celebrate its 5th anniversary by launching MoonX at the Paris Blockchain Week. MoonX is a memecoin trading platform designed for Web3 and is expected to bring new advancements to the blockchain space, aligning with the event’s theme of showing cutting-edge technology.
