The Federal Reserve announced on Wednesday that it will hold interest rates steady. The Fed also maintained its forecast of two rate cuts in 2025 despite Fed Chair Jerome Powell’s acknowledgment that higher inflation and lower growth than previously expected are also anticipated.
John Hancock Investment Management co-chief investment strategist Matt Miskin joins Market Domination host Julie Hyman to discuss the implications of the Fed’s decision. Miskin notes that if the US economy does slow down, the Fed will have to cut more than twice.
