We stood next to each other and I kind of looked at him, and it was just like, ‘Is this “The Matrix” or something?’ It just didn’t feel real.”
LeBron returned to the court for his first preseason game after sitting out the previous loss to the Timberwolves. The seasoned veteran put up 19 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two blocks in just 16 minutes, with the Lakers boasting a plus-nine point differential when he was on the floor. On the other hand, Bronny, in his 13 minutes of play, did not score but impressed Coach JJ Redick and Anthony Davis with his defensive prowess.
Despite not registering any points, Bronny’s defensive efforts caught the attention of his teammates, with Davis commending his toughness and growth since being drafted by the Lakers. Redick also had positive words for Bronny, describing him as a “great kid” and a joy to be around.
