An Atlanta school employee, Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem, died Monday after falling from the Goliath roller coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia. Several other riders were injured.
The incident prompted Six Flags to temporarily close nine similar roller coasters across North America as authorities investigate. Police and the state agency responsible for ride inspections are working to determine what led to the fall, including whether the ride’s restraints played a role.
