These damages may be very substantial but, nevertheless, this is the fair and equitable thing to do,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post. If the Houthis attack shipping in the Red Sea, “the US will hold Iran responsible, in that the Houthis are a surrogate and/or proxy of Iran, and major military punishment will be inflicted upon Iran and, of course, the Houthis, themselves, who I am very disappointed with in that they have, until now, acted very professionally and smart,” he wrote in a second post. The Secret Service confirmed on Thursday that an agent on Vice President JD Vance’s detail “is under investigation for leaking sensitive information,” CBS News reports.

A panel of three federal judges on Thursday “allowed Tennessee to use a new congressional map that divides a majority-Black district in Memphis, rejecting an effort to block the plan ahead of the state’s primary elections in August,” The Hill reports.
