President Trump told reporters that he would remove Syria from the terrorism sanctions list during a bilat meeting with President Ahmed al-Sharaa of Syria during the NATO summit in Turkey. Trump praised the work al-Sharaa has done since he took power in 2024, saying ‘he’s done a great job’ with the country in the aftermath of its civil war.
