Odds are, you didn’t know what you were signing up for when you volunteered to manage your team’s 30-shirt order.

But what sounds like a quick task turns into weeks of chasing down sizes, decoding vendor websites, and panicking about whether everything will arrive before opening day — all while trying to stretch a budget that wasn’t exactly generous to begin with.

When it was my turn to handle it, my perfectionist self kicked into overdrive. What if they don’t look the same? What if they don’t get here in time? What if I can’t find something that fits the budget after shipping and taxes?

I knew the wrong choice meant that shirts could arrive late, look inconsistent between orders, or cost way more than what we could afford.

After buckling down and doing the research to find the Best Company for Custom Little League Shirts, I hope to spare you the same spiral by sharing what I’ve learned, including the most popular options, what they’re good at, where they fall short, and which one I’d suggest to a budget-conscious, deadline-driven league mom.

Custom Ink is one of the most recognizable names in the space, and it’s where most people start.

The biggest selling point is the ordering experience. Their design tool is very easy to use, even if it’s your first time: You just pick a shirt style, upload your logo, and choose your colors. A preview is even generated as you go, which is really helpful. When it comes time to purchase, they offer a group order feature that lets each family submit their own size — huge for eliminating the size-collection headache and saves you a lot of back and forth with other busy and overwhelmed moms.

When it comes to the catalog, you won’t be disappointed. They sell screen-printed apparel, but they also stitch embroidery on items like shirts, hats, and polos. Plus, you don’t have to place separate orders if you want a mixed order, such as embroidered polos and screen-printed T-shirts.

The downside is the sourcing. Custom Ink uses a network of third-party print shops to fulfill orders, which means if you’re placing multiple orders of the same design, one order might be printed by a completely different shop than the next. This can lead to inconsistencies in color accuracy, print placement, and ink quality. If you’re only doing one order per year, it’s not a big deal, but any more than that and some kids on the team might look slightly different from everyone else.

Their standard turnaround time is about two weeks, and most of their styles have no minimum order. They offer free standard shipping, but they also have options like rush and super rush, even on embroidery! If you have any problems, their customer service is available seven days a week via phone or chat.

Pros:

Excellent design tool, especially for first-timers

Group order feature that lets each family submit their own size

No minimum on most styles

Free standard shipping

Cons:

Production outsourced to third-party vendors (consistency can vary across orders)

Delivery dates are estimated, not guaranteed

rush order teesrush order tees

RushOrderTees has built their whole model around speed. If you’re placing an order with a two-week deadline, they’re one of the few vendors that can handle it. They offer guaranteed two-day delivery with no minimum order (standard shipping is 9-12 business days).

Their pricing is particularly transparent, and it’s easy to browse hundreds of options and have a good idea of how much you’ll spend, making for a no-surprises checkout. They’ve also recently expanded their embroidery options and now allow bulk orders with multiple logo placements, which is useful for leagues dealing with several sponsor logos.

Their design studio is fairly easy to use, and while they don’t provide any clipart, they do offer an AI tool that allows you to customize your graphic via a series of prompts. They even have a dedicated embroidery studio that lets you see how your design will look with both rayon and polyester thread.

However, the embroidered options can add a bit of lead time to your order. Rather than the advertised two-day shipping, embroidered apparel arrives within six business days. Of course, this is still faster than many vendors offer, so this isn’t a huge con.

It’s also worth noting that you only get an automatic design proof if your order is more than 15 pieces, so remember to request one via customer service if that’s something you want or need.

Pros:

Excellent for tight deadlines

Transparent pricing; easy to browse and know what you’ll pay in advance

Multiple logo placements supported

Cons:

Design proof only automatic for orders over 15 pieces

Free shipping doesn’t come with guaranteed delivery dates

mylockermylocker

MyLocker has a very straightforward design process and fast turnaround times, with a large catalog to choose from. Orders are shipped within two to five business days, so you’ll most likely get your order within a week or so, which is faster than most other options.

They offer bulk pricing starting at six pieces and a decent range of product types like hoodies, polos, and athletic apparel (plus tons of brand names). They also allow you to choose between several production methods, including digital printing, heat transfer, dye-sublimation, and embroidery.

The rush order options are more limited than those of some vendors, but their fast turnaround time means you probably don’t have to pay for rush shipping anyway. Just be extra careful reviewing your design before submitting, since you can’t modify your order once it’s placed.

Pros:

In-house production

Fast turnaround (ships within two to five business days)

Bulk discounts starting at six pieces

No setup fees; no extra charges for multiple design colors

Cons:

No cancellations or modifications

Rush options are limited

fourthwallfourthwall

Fourthwall takes a totally different approach to most of the options on this list: instead of placing one bulk order, you create a team storefront that each family orders from individually. No more collecting sizes in a group chat or chasing down busy parents in the midst of your own crazy schedule.

Everyone picks what they want, pays directly, and gets their items delivered straight to them. And if a kid needs to replace their shirt or a parent wants a spare, they can do so very easily on their own with no minimum quantities. The downside to this is that the model isn’t built for synchronized arrival; if one parent waits too long to place their order, their kid might not have a uniform for game day.

They also don’t have any rush production options because they print on demand, and they don’t provide a guaranteed delivery date. But again, if you’re communicating well with all the parents and providing your own deadline, it should work out fine.

There’s also the downside of production running through several outsourced partners, similar to CustomInk. You can expect relatively high quality across the board, but again, you run the same risks of uniforms looking slightly different — especially since many families will order just one shirt at a time.

That being said, the ability to let parents order at their own convenience and ensure accurate sizing is just too good to not mention Fourthwall as a solid vendor.

Pros:

Each family orders their own size with no minimum order quantities

Free shipping

Low per-unit starting cost

Cons:

Not built for synchronized delivery; no guaranteed arrival dates

No rush production options

Completely outsourced production

bluecottonbluecotton

BlueCotton is another in-house shop that makes a point of keeping everything from printing and embroidery to shipping and customer service in the same facility. This means that if there’s a problem with your order, your support agent can literally walk across the floor and talk to the person printing/stitching it.

So if you need to place multiple orders or want uniform consistency across seasons/teams, BlueCotton is a great option because everything is produced in the same facility on the same equipment.

Their order minimum is six pieces, and standard production is 10 days with free shipping. They also offer generous rush options if you need your order quickly, including 1-day super rush, 3-day rush, and 5-day rush production — all with guaranteed delivery dates. No

If you really want to guarantee you’ll love what you picked, you can request a printed or blank sample for $100, which is credited back when placing an order. If your order is more than 250 pieces, then this sample is free.

Pros:

In-house production

Free professional design check on every order

Rush options with guaranteed delivery dates

Printed and blank samples available

Cons:

Less name recognition

Design tool isn’t as polished as Custom Ink’s

Where I Landed and What I’d Suggest

bluecottonbluecotton

This list should give you a great place to start if you’ve been handed the job of ordering shirts for your Little League team. If you’re still not sure which vendor to choose, here’s a quick guide:

Choose Custom Ink if you want the easiest design tool, or if you need each family to submit their own sizes through a group order (assuming you’re only ordering once and production consistency across batches isn’t a concern).

Choose RushOrderTees if you’re up against a hard deadline and want guaranteed rush shipping with transparent pricing you can see before you commit.

Choose MyLocker if your design is detailed or multi-color and you want to skip the per-color and setup fees most printers tack on.

Choose Fourthwall if you’d rather each family order, pay for, and receive their own shirt, and you don’t need everything to arrive together for a single date.

Choose BlueCotton if you want everything made in-house with guaranteed delivery dates, plan to reorder the same design across seasons, and like knowing you can reach a real person who can walk over and check on your order.

For us, we were looking closest at Custom Ink. Their design space is the easiest to navigate with the most options, and they would have been great, but I was working with a tighter timeline and the rush options pushed me over budget. RushOrderTees was a close runner-up, but I was still concerned about the consistency of their outsourced production, and we’re planning on re-ordering the same design for next year.

So for our situation (one team, a mix of sizes, a modest budget, and only one logo), I decided to go with BlueCotton — the pricing, fully in-house model, and rush options made them the right option given our situation. What sold me was knowing I could call someone who could literally walk over and check on my order. Also, their free design check actually caught that our sponsor logo was the wrong format, which would have come out blurry.

No matter your needs, there’s a vendor on this list for you. BlueCotton won out for us, but it’s hard to go wrong with any of these picks.
