Iyo Sky’s husband pulled off an insane move by starting the show just under 36 hours after Monday Night RAW. An authority figure panicked and ended up screaming, “Call 911,” as a result.

This week on WWE NXT, we were to see the contract finally being signed for the NXT Championship. We technically saw it already, but the issue was that only the Champion, Tony D’Angelo, signed the contract for Great American Bash this weekend. His opponent, Naraku, fka EVIL, didn’t sign the contract, as he was playing mind games. The husband of Iyo Sky has been quite the force since joining NXT, and many view him as a legitimate threat to D’Angelo’s NXT Championship. Naraku wouldn’t be the first former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion to waltz into NXT and reach the top, but still, it’s a different time and era.

When Iyo Sky’s husband appeared in the parking lot (which is never a good sign if you’ve followed NXT at any point), Robert Stone was there to initiate Naraku’s signing of the contract. He told the Japanese star to hand him the contract, which appeared to have been signed. Naraku then insisted on handing it to D’Angelo himself, and as the Champion opened the contract, fire shot out, and D’Angelo was in a serious condition, with Robert Stone shouting, “call 911”.

It was quite the way to build up in the final night before their rivalry comes to a head at The Great American Bash. Naraku presents quite an interesting challenge to Tony D’Angelo, who has been the face of NXT for a short while now. D’Angelo feels like one of those true, beloved NXT names, rather than just someone passing by to join the main roster.

Either way, we’re going to find out at Great American Bash who the top dog of the brand is.
