Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have no plans to stay home and let Taylor Swift have her moment on her wedding day!
Years ago, it was a no-brainer that the couple would score an invite to the pop star’s nuptials. They were best friends. Heck, Tay Tay is the godmother to their three daughters! All that made Blake and Ryan a shoo-in for a coveted spot for the big day! The Gossip Girl may have even been a bridesmaid at one point! However, everything changed with the legal drama surrounding It Ends With Us! Now Blake and Taylor’s friendship is on the rocks due to the lawsuit, so she and Ryan are unlikely to attend the singer’s wedding to Travis Kelce next month. And they know it too, which is why they’re already in damage control mode!

According to Rob Shuter‘s Naughty But Nice Substack on Thursday, Blake and Ryan are planning a very public outing when Taylor gets married, so they can get photographed and make headlines too! Wow! A source explained:
“The strategy is simple: be seen. They don’t want anyone saying they’re hiding at home or avoiding the spotlight. They plan to be out, smiling, and carrying on with their lives.”
Another source noted they want to appear unbothered and confident as much as possible:
“They want to project confidence. The message is: life goes on. They’re not going to sit behind closed doors while the world talks about Taylor’s wedding.”
That said, they don’t want to totally upstage the wedding — as if that could even be possible! It sounds like Taylor and Travis could be going all out for their ceremony! But Ryan and Blake just don’t want anyone to think they’re hiding because they got snubbed:
“Blake and Ryan intend to hold their heads high. They’re not looking to compete with the wedding, but they also don’t want to be portrayed as the couple that got left out and disappeared.”
And ultimately, people will notice if the pair are not there, so she doesn’t want anyone to pity her:
“Everyone will notice who’s missing. Blake knows that. That’s why she wants people to see she’s doing just fine. The last thing she wants is to look wounded or in hiding.”
If Blake and Ryan really wanted to get back in Taylor’s good graces one day, wouldn’t it be better to lay low and not add fuel to their drama on one of the biggest days of her life? We have a feeling the Evermore artist wouldn’t appreciate this PR tactic!
