Coinbase Details Expanding Everything Exchange Vision

Crypto exchange Coinbase (Nasdaq: COIN) teased the next phase of its “Everything Exchange” in a June 12 post on X and an article by Max Branzburg, its head of consumer and business products. The company described a unified account spanning crypto, stocks, ETFs, cash, perpetual futures, prediction markets, lending, borrowing, and card rewards.

The platform framed the plan around financial services that still depend on market hours, delayed settlement, and separate accounts. The firm pointed to millions of crypto assets, nearly 10,000 stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), perpetual futures tied to crypto, commodities, and equity indices, and U.S. prediction markets.

Coinbase wrote:

“We are building the financial services platform of the future at Coinbase: one account for everything you trade, settled instantly, open 24/7.”

Older financial rails create delays because information moves before value, according to the article. The executive described crypto infrastructure as instant, global, and interoperable by design, with settlement that does not rely on the timing used across many traditional markets.

Recent rollouts have added context to the Everything Exchange strategy. Coinbase unveiled the plan in July 2025, later opened U.S. stock and ETF trading to eligible users in February 2026, expanded integrated decentralized trading to 84 countries in March 2026, and cited rising onchain activity, stablecoin use, derivatives volume, and prediction markets in May 2026. The company said it will show the next phase of the Everything Exchange on June 16.

Perpetual Futures, USD Coin Rewards, and Coinbase Advisor Anchor Expansion

Perpetual futures are a central part of the Everything Exchange plan because they support 24/7 leveraged trading. Coinbase also cited Coinbase One, its subscription membership program, which offers 3.5% APY rewards on the USD Coin (USDC) stablecoin while it serves as collateral or waits for a limit order.

Trading access also includes decentralized exchange activity from the Coinbase app. The crypto firm stated:

“Trade any asset live on a decentralized exchange directly from the Coinbase app. Swap between bitcoin, Tesla, and gold as seamlessly and as easily as sending a message – the way you expect your financial services to work for you.”

Coinbase Advisor provides automated guidance and education using AI and Coinbase data. The company said the tool helps users review portfolios, trading opportunities, and market information, while also noting plans to let users bring their own agents to trade on their behalf.
