Bill and Hillary Clinton are calling for transparency as they prepare to tell Congress what they knew about the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The Clintons have agreed to have the depositions behind closed doors, despite their request for it to be public.
The House Oversight Committee is examining what the Clintons may have known about Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, including what Hillary Clinton may have known as secretary of state.
“I will not sit idly as they use me as a prop in a closed-door kangaroo court by a Republican Party running scared. If they want answers, let’s stop the games & do this the right way: in a public hearing, where the American people can see for themselves what this is really about,” Bill Clinton posted on X.
“So let’s stop the games. If you want this fight, @RepJamesComer, let’s have it—in public. You love to talk about transparency. There’s nothing more transparent than a public hearing, cameras on. We will be there,” Hillary Clinton posted on X.
