While the contest is live, the submission deadline for games is 3 pm EST on December 28. As expected, Nifty Island has laid out some rules for the game: each participant may submit only one game, submissions must be original and created for the contest, and the playground must be free of major bugs. Additionally, contestants must use the provided Christmas assets to build their racing playgrounds. Submissions that do not meet the requirements of the contest will be penalized or disqualified.

To participate in the contest, creators must join the Nifty Island Discord server, post a video of their racing playground games on X, and submit the entries in the designated Discord channel. These steps will require tagging the official Nifty Island X account at one point.

Nifty Island revealed that judges for the competition will be selected from its management team. The judging criteria will be based on race design and playability, asset usage, and creativity. This means creators will earn points for the overall fun, smooth pacing, and creativity of their games. Judges also reserve the right to disqualify entries that violate the challenge’s rules.

After the submission deadline, judges will begin grading the games. The judges will multiply each criterion score by its weight to obtain a final score. It is worth noting that judges’ decisions are final and will not be altered.

When the final scores are released at the end of the grading period, Nifty Island will send out rewards within the following week. Afterward will come the public announcement of the contest winners.
