For much of the 2000s, Applebee’s was America’s largest full-service restaurant chain. However, slipping sales and the shuttering of hundreds of locations has allowed Chili’s, Texas Roadhouse and Olive Garden to surpass Applebee’s which has seen its parent company Dine Brand’s share price tank in the past year.
