The Israeli military has released video that shows Saturday’s attempted hijacking of humanitarian aid vehicles meant for Gaza civilians and the elimination of the armed terrorists responsible. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it was conducting an operation to secure the humanitarian route when armed militants were seen robbing and attempting to take control of the truck. As the armed militants drove off, drones were used to take out and eliminate them.
This comes as the war in Gaza near the one-year mark following the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas on Israel and as tension between Israel and Hezbollah continues to intensify after this week’s electronics explosions, involving pagers and walkie-talkies. Hezbollah’s leader Hassan Nasrallah said the explosions were a “declaration of war” by Israel, though Israel has not taken responsibility for the attacks. Israel has said that on Friday it killed top Hezbollah commander, Ibrahim Akil, who had been on America’s most wanted list for many years following the bombing of the US embassy in Beirut in the 1980s.
