WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, MoveOn Political Action Executive Director Rahna Epting appeared on CNN News Central with Ben & Jerry’s co-founders Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield to discuss MoveOn’s new Scoop the Vote tour that kicked off on Monday in Philadelphia for the start of early voting. The Scoop the Vote tour is a unique initiative aimed at encouraging voter participation through a series of events featuring free ice cream and special guests.
On the segment, Cohen devoured a pint of the limited-edition handcrafted ice cream he and Greenfield made and autographed for the tour in honor of Kamala Harris, called Kamala’s Coconut Jubilee,” which is available to win at ScoopTheVote.com.
Epting highlighted that the Scoop the Vote tour will travel through key swing states and districts, making stops in more than 20 cities, including Ann Arbor, Madison, Phoenix, and Las Vegas. During the tour, MoveOn will help attendees make a plan to vote by November 5 and show voters how they can help get their friends and family to turn out, as well as offer a variety of electorally themed ice cream flavors and engage with local communities to encourage voter registration and turnout.
