Stocks wrapped the final trading session of the week in the green on Friday, following a volatile week for the U.S. and worldwide markets fueled by President Trump’s tariff announcement and subsequent 90-day pause. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 1.56%, the S&P 500 rose 1.8% and Nasdaq Composite climbed 2%. President Trump announced ‘reciprocal’ tariffs on many countries last week, causing concern from major industries and foreign leaders. Trump slammed China with 125% tariffs and kept those in place, even has he announced a temporary pause on others earlier this week.
LiveNOW’s Mike Pache and Barron’s Matt Peterson break down the stock market turbulence and how the tariffs played into the historic week on Wall Street.
