Rep. Al Green (D-TX) was escorted out of the House chamber during President Donald Trump’s primetime State of the Union address on Tuesday. The Texas lawmaker was holding up a sign that read “BLACK PEOPLE AREN’T APES,” referring to a recent video posted by Trump to Truth Social that depicted the Obamas as apes. Green was ejected just minutes into the speech.
