President-elect Donald Trump has named venture capitalist David Sacks as the incoming administration’s “AI and Crypto Czar,” a positive signal for crypto investors coming just after bitcoin (BTC-USD) reached $100,000 for the first time. Metafide CEO Frank Speiser joins Seana Smith and Madison Mills on Morning Brief to discuss his bitcoin outlook.
Trump tapping Sacks “signals a shift to being hospitable to crypto innovation,” Speiser says, adding, “[In regard to] the concept of [bitcoin’s] viability as an asset class, I think, [has] a full vote of confidence from the administration, something the founders [of] the industry have been looking forward to for a long time, and everybody I’ve talked to is super bullish almost unanimously.” Speiser projects bitcoin could climb as high as $300,000 by the end of 2025.
