UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s aides scrambled to express support for Rachel Reeves after his chancellor’s tearful appearance in the House of Commons spurred a UK market selloff amid speculation about her future. A visibly emotional Reeves sat by Starmer he avoided saying whether or not Reeves would be in her post at the next general election. After the session, Starmer’s press secretary told reporters that Reeves was going nowhere. Bloomberg’s Victoria Wakely reports from London.
