Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth delivered remarks at the Marine Corps’ 250th anniversary on Saturday in southern California. The anniversary event included an amphibious assault demonstration on Red Beach, speeches from military leaders and cabinet officials. With Hegseth being a combat veteran himself, he mentions to the crowd of Marines that the Corps stood strong when others wavered.
Hegseth started off his speech by saying to Marines that, “I’m not supposed to say this, really not. But I think you guys might be my favorite.”
