The Kings are looking at a marquee point guard to acquire. Sacramento might go after Brogdon, Smart, or Holiday this summer, as has been reported. This has been the new GM Scott Perry’s recent emphasis: in his introductory press conference, he stressed the need for better playmaking; now the Kings have to go out there and do it.

Sacramento’s point guard history of late has been quite acrimonious, but if Perry and the boys would be able to pull out a smart acquisition, well, maybe, just maybe, they could start re-telling their story. However, for now, the jibes and the skepticism will continue, and honestly? Well deserved.

The Kings have been down that road before. Fans are right to be apprehensive but, if the Kings can finally land that floor general to lift their team, laughter might very well turn to cheers. For now, though, memes and sarcasm are winning the day.
