Russian President Vladimir Putin speaks at a security summit in Astana, Kazakhstan, after laying out his proposal for a new Eurasian security architecture founded on Moscow’s deepening entente with Beijing to challenge the post-Cold War order in Europe. “Russia places great significance on partnership co-operation within the SCO [Shanghai Cooperation Organization].
