Like Adam Sandler and Luke Bryan, Post Malone is one of those celebrities you’d see walking down the street and never know they had millions in the bank. The singer and rapper is known for his kind eyes, extreme talent, and style that doesn’t exactly scream “I’m rolling in dough.”

Since 2011, the “I Fall Apart” singer has been rising in the music industry. From his breakout hit “White Iverson” to his recent “What Don’t Belong to Me,” he’s transcended genres, making his mark along the way. With four concert tours under his belt, six No. 1 hits released, and a newly flourishing country music career, it seems he’s just getting started.

Below we reveal Post Malone’s net worth and the career that made him a breakout star.

Post Malone’s Multimillion-Dollar Net Worth

If you’ve seen one of Post Malone’s concerts in person or watched his interviews filled with class and grace, you probably aren’t shocked that he’s beloved. But his grateful way and sincere demeanor might not convince you he’s loaded. However, according to Celebrity Net Worth, since he started his music career, Post Malone has earned a jaw-dropping $50 million net worth (a figure that’s unconfirmed but totally believable).

Post Malone’s Fast-Growing Career

Post Malone, known to his family and friends as Austin Richard Post, was born on July 4, 1995, in Syracuse, NY. From a young age, the “Pour Me a Drink” singer has had an affinity for music. According to People, his father was “a heavy metal, hair band kind of guy” when he was young and eventually went on to work as a wedding DJ in the Syracuse area.

Taking after his father’s love of music, Post Malone started trying to learn to play the guitar after mastering the highest level of the video game Guitar Hero. For Christmas one year his mom gifted him a guitar so he could start to learn in real life. According to the Huffington Post, Post Malone taught himself guitar the way many other millennials do—by utilizing ultimate-guitar.com and watching easy-to-learn videos on YouTube.

“It took a long time because I used to suck. I was really bad,” Post told HuffPost. “You gotta start somewhere. You just gotta stick with it, because a lot of people wanna give up whenever they first start something. They’re like, ‘I’m not good at this.’”

In 2010, the singer auditioned for the American band Crown the Empire but didn’t make the cut due to his guitar strings breaking during the audition.

After graduating high school, he moved onto Tarrant County College where he would later drop out before moving to L.A.

“When I was 18, I moved out to L.A. and I needed a place to record,” Post Malone told The Fader. “My friend sent me Stevie B.’s studio, shouts to Stevie B. Then I met [artist FKi] 1st through a group of people I made music with at the place. Then we moved into a house. All of us was living in this white house, me and 1st, making music.”

With the help of collaborators including FKi 1st, Post Malone released his first hit song “White Iverson,” which gained national attention and garnered curiosity from Mac Miller and Wiz Khalifa.

“I wrote it two days before I recorded it,” Post Malone said. “Me and 1st made the the beat and then I was writing the words to the beat at my house. I didn’t even know if I was going to record. It was like 7 a.m. and everybody was fixin’ to go to bed and I was fixin’ to record it by myself, so Raye Rich [of FKi] was teaching me how to work Logic for a second to get the main idea. Then he heard it and he’s like, ‘We need to record it.’ It was morning and, I don’t know, it was a perfect culmination of everything.”

The same year “White Iverson” came out, Post Malone released his first mixtape, August 26th, and his debut album, Stoney, which earned him a nomination for Top Rap Album and Top Billboard 200 Album at the Billboard Music Awards. Stoney was also certified five times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

In 2018, his second studio album, Beerbongs & Bentleys, was released and officially sealed the singer’s superstar status. The album was a quick success, debuting at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200. Although it didn’t win, it was also nominated for Album of the Year at the 2019 Grammy Awards.

In 2019, he released his third studio album Hollywood’s Bleeding, which also topped the Billboard 200 chart. From 2022 to 2024, Post Malone released four more albums—Twelve Carat Toothache, The Diamond Collection, Austin, and F-1 Trillion, his first album with a country flair.
