Several popular television shows and movies are filmed on a set, but shooting on location has become more popular as the visual medium has progressed.
Directors will often use the scenery and area as a character of its own, adding a unique flair to their series or film.
“Breaking Bad” is considered one of the greatest television shows of all time, and its setting of Albuquerque, New Mexico contributed to the overall feel of the show.
Many of the show’s iconic moments took place in or around a home belonging to protagonist Walter White. The show ended its run in 2013, but fans still visit the home over a decade later.
The owner of the home says she initially welcomed the attention, but her stance has changed.
Joanne Quintana was recently filmed using a water hose to keep prying eyes away from the home, and she’s also set up a fence to keep trespassers away.
An influencer on the topclosings Instagram account traveled to Albuquerque to see the lengths Quintana goes to to keep tourists away, showing how she sits in her yard as onlookers continuously approach the house.

She relents to some, allowing them to take photos.
“You can take a picture from that corner, do not get close,” she told one onlooker. “And no tripods, no nothing. One picture then you go.”
Another fan attempted to plead with Quintana, explaining that he was a massive fan of the show. The unfazed homeowner said “the whole world is a fan, doesn’t impress me.”
Traffic cones, a metal fence and even a water hose are all tools Quintana uses to keep overzealous fans away from the property. Some fans even threw full pizzas on the roof in an homage to an iconic moment from the show.
The pizza-throwing problem continued to escalate until the show’s creator stepped in to put a stop to the antics.
“There is nothing original, or funny, or cool, about throwing a pizza on this lady’s roof,” Vince Gilligan said on the “Better Call Saul” podcast.
Quintana, who has put the home up for sale for $4 million, says that she enjoyed the filming process, calling it a “once in a lifetime thing.”
