Official Trailer for ‘My First Horror Movie’ – Meta Indie Horror Project

“3, 2, 1… Ready or not, here I come.” Dread & Epic have revealed the official trailer for an indie horror film project titled My First Horror Movie (or also My First Horror Film – it’s all the same anyway). This first premiered at 2023 Screamfest New Orleans last year, and it will be heading to VOD directly this August. An aspiring influencer documents her journey booking her first horror film but receives a bloody surprise when a real-life killer begins murdering her cast mates. Now she and the rest of the cast are trying to survive the film they were just cast in. Not exactly an entirely original premise. My First Horror Movie is directed by Shihan Van Clief and stars Georgina Navarro, Chauntice Green, Justyn Franco, Stephan O’Shea, Joy Marie Thomas, and Miles Crawford. “As a first-time filmmaker, I wanted My First Horror Film to be a thrilling story that also leaves the audience feeling good,” states Van Clief. This trailer plays more like an experimental student film than anything properly polished, but some might find it entertaining anyway.

What happens when reality becomes all too real? My First Horror Film follows an aspiring influencer, still navigating her path to success, chronicles her pursuit of landing a role in her debut horror film. However, her dreams turn into a nightmare when a real-life killer starts targeting her fellow cast mates. As the crew finds themselves thrust into a deadly reality mirroring the script they were hired for, they must band together to outwit the murderer and survive the harrowing ordeal they once thought was mere fiction. My First Horror Movie is written and directed by the young indie filmmaker Shihan Van Clief, making her feature directorial debut after a few other short film projects. Produced by Arianna Basco, Ronald Erickson, and Shihan Van Clief. Epic Pictures & Dread will debut My First Horror Movie with a special LA screening on August 9th, 2024, then on VOD to watch starting August 13th, 2024 this summer. Anyone into this?
