According to a source speaking to People, Nicola’s weight loss is directly tied to her next major acting role:

“She’s undergone a physical transformation and intense workout regimen for her role in Prima, where she portrays a prima ballerina.”

Well then!

Prima is a serious drama set in the unforgiving world of elite ballet, FYI. Nicola stars as Margo, a devoted ballerina raised under the strict guidance of her grandmother, played by the legendary Faye Dunaway.

The story digs into the quiet intensity of a ballet company on the brink of change. When the head of the company, portrayed by Jack Huston, marries a contemporary choreographer played by Betty Gabriel, tradition is challenged.
