ONE lightweight MMA contender Adrian Lee of Singapore and the United States was extremely proud of his statement win at ONE Fight Night 40.
‘The Phenom’ rebounded from the first loss of his career with a sensational first-round TKO victory against Shozo Isojima.
The 19-year-old, who won bonuses in his first three victories, didn’t get one last Feb. 13 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
But for the redemption-seeking Lee, his main mission was to get his hand raised, and he’s glad to be able to accomplish it.

“Yeah. You know, honestly, I couldn’t care less about the bonus. For me, everything, as long as I came out with the win, you know, it’s a win for me. Yeah. you know, just the sport means everything to me,” he told Nick Atkin of The Bangkok Post after the event.

Lee shrugged off early trouble from Isojima, who caught him with a right-hand missile early.
But the Prodigy Training Center affiliate showed resolve and imposed his will to capture the come-from-behind win via ground-and-pound.

Adrian Lee felt like his back was against the wall after absorbing the first loss of his career to Tye Ruotolo.
The sting of defeat still lingered, and he needed to redeem himself big time against Shozo Isojima.
‘The Phenom’ made sure to address all the issues that were exposed in that loss and came out a much better fighter.
He told ONE Championship:
“I’m feeling great now. You know, this fight meant everything to me. I put my everything into this sport, and I’m just so happy to have come out with the win. I wish I hadn’t got caught with that, but you know, it’s a great learning experience. You learn new things from every fight.”
