A Pennsylvania man who set fire to the governor’s mansion while Gov. Josh Shapiro and his family were inside has pleaded guilty to attempted murder and multiple related charges.
Cody Balmer pleaded guilty to attempted murder, arson, and terrorism charges in.
Balmer was sentenced to 25 to 50 years in prison under a plea agreement, according to the Associated Press.

New security video shows Balmer breaking a window, throwing a Molotov cocktail into the home before breaking a window and entering inside. Footage from inside the residence shows Balmer kick the doors leading to where Shapiro and his family were sleeping.
The judge called the video “horrific” and “very frightening.”
