On the other hand, the Lakers were barely projected as a top-six team across various predictions, but are 12-4, third in the West. They have also dominated the NBA Cup games, going 2-0 with a 19-point differential to hold the No.1 spot.

The Purple and Gold is coming off four straight wins and a 4-1 record in its past five games. Luka Doncic and Co. won their previous matchup 108-106 at Utah on Sunday.

The Lakers have momentum and health on their side. They are missing only starting Deandre Ayton for this clash, who is out with a knee contusion. Meanwhile, the Clippers have four players listed.

Bogdan Bogdanovic is questionable with a hip injury, while Derrick Jones Jr. (MCL), Jordan Miller (hamstring) and Bradley Beal (hip) are inactive. Beal is out for the season.
