Justin Bieber caused a lot of drama last week with his rather controversial caption in an Instagram post about his wife, Hailey, and her first-ever Vogue Magazine cover. So when Hailey had more major news to share on Wednesday, Bieber didn’t take any chances.
Last week, Justin made an Instagram post that was presumably intended to celebrate his wife Hailey for her Vogue Magazine cover, but it didn’t exactly come across that way to fans.
In the post, Justin opened up about a “huge fight” the two had in the past, where he told her that she would “never” be on the cover of Vogue, pointing out that she proved him wrong.
“Yo this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight,” Bieber wrote in his since-deleted caption. “I told hails that she would never be on the cover of vogue.”
“Yikes I know, so mean,” he added.
Justin said he wanted to “get even” at Hailey during the argument because he felt “disrespected.”
“For some reason because I felt so disrespected,” Justin wrote. “I thought I gotta get even..”
Justin was sure to make it clear that he regretted his comments, asking Hailey to forgive him.
“I think as we mature we realize that we’re not helping anything by getting even,” he wrote. “We’re honestly just prolonging what we really want which is intimacy and connection.”
“So baby u already know but forgive me for saying u wouldn’t get a vogue cover cuz clearly i was sadly mistaken,” he wrote.
The post received a lot of criticism from fans, and he eventually deleted the caption and replaced it with a series of emojis, seemingly indicating that he regretted sharing that particular story. He later made a cryptic post referencing “hard days” after the criticism he received.
On Wednesday, Hailey had another major announcement as her company, Rhode Beauty, was acquired by e.l.f. Beauty, for a deal worth a reported $1 billion. Given the drama Justin caused last time he attempted to celebrate Hailey on social media, he took a very different approach this time.
This time, Justin simply posted the exact same photo that Hailey posted on her own Instagram account, along with a screenshot of the caption Hailey wrote on her post, with no caption of his own.

Obviously, this was a pretty telling move from Justin after last week’s drama, as it suggests that he learned his lesson – or perhaps was reprimanded for his caption last week. And fans certainly took noticed in the comments.
“Bro’s in caption jail,” one fan wrote in the comments of Justin’s post.
“daddy’s not allowed to do captions anymore,” someone else wrote.
“posted hailey’s caption instead of his own is a smart move,” another fan added.
“He learned his lesson with the caption,” someone else wrote.
“Went with no caption this time around,” a commenter added.
“Not writing a caption but posting hers , she deff yelled at him,” someone else speculated.
“No caption says a lot,” a commenter wrote.
Clearly, Justin wanted to avoid any controversy this time around.
