The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said troops are deployed near the Syrian border with Golan Heights “raising readiness for various scenarios” after a “situational assessment” and “developments in Syria’s internal fighting.” The IDF added it “will thwart any threat to Israel’s citizens and borders.”
This comes as Israel continues the war against Hamas in Gaza and takes out Hezbollah terrorist strongholds in Lebanon as a fragile ceasefire remains in effect.
