Hurricane Milton is expected to weaken before making landfall around midnight in Florida. The ‘major storm’ will likely make landfall south of Tampa Bay. Milton could bring storm surges of 10-15 feets in several counties including Pinellas and Hillsborough. Mass evacuation orders were issued across 11 counties with a combined population of 5.9 million people.
