Polygon has announced a strategic partnership with telecom giant Reliance Jio to bring Blockchain-based services to over 450 million subscribers. The project, focused on speed, scalability, and low-cost transactions, is expected to accelerate mainstream Web3 adoption in India.
India-based Blockchain platform Polygon has entered a groundbreaking partnership with one of the country’s largest telecom operators, Reliance Jio. The agreement aims to deliver a fast, affordable, and decentralized Web3 experience to Jio’s massive user base, without compromising on decentralization. This ecosystem will raise Web3 awareness across the population through real-world applications designed to solve practical problems.
Polygon and Reliance Jio to Onboard Millions to Web3

By partnering with Reliance Jio, owned by one of India’s wealthiest businessmen, Mukesh Ambani, Polygon plans to introduce Blockchain technology to more than 450 million users. The partnership will integrate Blockchain-powered solutions into existing digital services like JioSphere, aiming to optimize processes that are typically costly, slow, or inefficient.
The Polygon team emphasizes its commitment to providing scalable, low-fee, and high-speed transactions without compromising on decentralization—a key principle of Web3 technology.
Sandeep Nailwal: “We’re Building at Breakneck Speed”

Polygon Co-founder Sandeep Nailwal shared insights with industry sources, saying, “We’re building at a crazy pace, onboarding major partners, and pushing Blockchain into the mainstream.” He highlighted the responsibility to uphold core Web3 values such as security, transparency, and decentralization.
Polygon’s heavy investments in Zero-Knowledge (ZK) technology allow developers to offer faster, cheaper transactions without sacrificing trust and data integrity. According to Nailwal, features like low fees, quick transactions, and decentralized security have made possible a wide range of use cases—from stablecoin payments to real-world asset tokenization by global enterprises on the Polygon PoS network.
Bringing Blockchain to the Masses in India
This collaboration with Reliance Jio aims to gradually onboard India’s vast and diverse population into the Blockchain ecosystem. Nailwal explained, “We will bring users onto the chain gradually through real-world applications,” underlining the importance of scalability and usability without compromising core principles as the infrastructure grows.
He also stressed the real-life relevance of Blockchain, saying, “We are creating solutions that touch real people, beyond just technical debates.” The partnership showcases the growing potential of Web3 in solving everyday problems while maintaining the essence of decentralized technologies.
