European and NATO leaders have joined President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for talks with President Donald Trump at the White House. During the meeting, Zelenskyy continued to stress the importance of both U.S. and European involvement in the ongoing peace negotiations.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Finnish President Alexander Stubb were all in attendance.
On Friday, President Trump and President Putin of Russia met for the first time in six years. They discussed what it will take to stop Russia’s ongoing war in Ukraine. Zelenskyy was not at their meeting in Alaska last week.
