Stauffer notes that the housing market saw affordability and inventory constraints, which she believes will stick around this year and lead to downward pressure on home prices. Her advice for home buyers is to stay persistent, noting sellers are still pricing homes based on past market conditions. “There are some sellers that still have priced their homes according to, maybe, prices we were seeing more back in 2022,” Stauffer explains. “And now they’re going to have to adjust their expectations.
