He previously served as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Moldova to the United Nations from 2008 to 2012.
As a strategic advisor to OORT, Cujba will spearhead global partnerships and international market expansion.
He will also represent OORT at the United Nations, enabling the company to participate in and co-host UN events related to AI and blockchain technology.
OORT, the data cloud for a decentralised AI company, on Thursday exclusively revealed to NFTgators the appointment of the former United Nations Ambassador, Alexandru Cujba, as strategic advisor.
The appointment follows OORT’s partnership with Blockchain Alliance International (BAI), announced earlier this year. Cujba is the founder and chairman of BAI. Before making inroads into blockchain technology, he served as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Moldova to the United Nations from 2008 to 2012.
His role at OORT will see him spearhead the company’s global partnerships and international market expansion strategy. He will also represent OORT at the United Nations, enabling the company to participate in and co-host UN events related to AI and blockchain technology.
“I am honored to accept the position of Strategic Advisor to OORT, where I will drive global partnerships and international expansion, advancing OORT’s decentralized AI solutions in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly through innovation and collaboration,” said Ambassador Cujba.
OORT believes Cujba’s experience working with multilateral institutions, governments, and private sector organizations in advancing technology solutions for humanitarian challenges puts him in a strong position to bring in the institutional insight that the company needs to expand globally.
OORT will look to leverage BAI’s special consultative status at UN ECOSOC, granted in 2024, to participate in policy dialogues focused on emerging technologies. The consultative status allows BAI to engage with ECOSOC subsidiary bodies, programs and funds, and select General Assembly meetings.
OORT’s data cloud for decentralised AI platform offers an end-to-end solution, empowering both enterprises and individuals to collect, process, and monetize AI data. The company is backed by Taisu Venture and Red Beard Ventures, and supported through strategic grant programs from Microsoft and Google.
