Elon Musk has rolled out a digital encyclopedia called Grokipedia, which he says is designed to offer a more accurate and transparent alternative to Wikipedia.
The platform was made available to the public on October 27 after a brief delay. Grokipedia works alongside Grok, the artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot.
Unlike Wikipedia, which relies on contributions from human editors and moderators, Grokipedia uses Grok to manage and update its content. Users can suggest edits or new entries, but Grok makes the final call on whether to approve them.

In a post on X, Musk said the platform is completely open source and free to use. He emphasized that the project aims to provide “the whole truth” while admitting that it may not always get things right.
Before the launch, Musk postponed the release to remove what he described as “propaganda”. Once it went live, the site experienced technical issues and went offline temporarily.
Musk also shared that Grok created around one million articles using a large amount of computing power. Users can ask the AI to create, edit, or delete pages. It will either carry out the request or explain why it will not.
Currently, Grokipedia claims to host over 885,000 articles. However, its full review process and editorial methods are not fully detailed.
