The name “Grokipedia” came up during a live discussion at a technology-focused podcast event hosted by The All-In Podcast.
At the time, Musk described how xAI’s assistant, Grok, reviews various materials, including articles, PDFs, and reference pages, to evaluate whether the content is factual, partly accurate, incorrect, or missing important context.
Grok then rewrites the material to reflect what it determines to be the full truth.
During this conversation, podcast co-host David Sacks suggested creating a dedicated service called Grokipedia. Musk responded by saying he would consider the idea with his team.
