A hand-knit hat worn by a Shiba Inu named Achi, associated with the Dogwifhat meme coin, has just been sold for nearly $800,000.

He stated that the money came partly from a token on his platform called Buy the Hat and partly from his own funds. According to Finn, this purchase is meant to make sure the hat remains tied to the Dogwifhat community.
After winning, Finn stated in a post on X that he might “update the metadata” of the token. He also added the hat to the Bags logo and hinted that more announcements could be coming soon.
The hat was made by Achi’s owner while living in South Korea. A photo of Achi wearing it was taken two months after the dog was born in 2018. That image eventually became the face of Dogwifhat, a meme coin built on Solana

On August 8, the owner posted on X to congratulate Finn. They wrote that the hat has become a symbol across different communities and chains. “We hope it brings you and everyone around you the same luck, fun, and serendipity it brought us”, they said.
