Tyler Robinson, the suspect in the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, appears virtually in court for the first time after prosecutors filed charges against him earlier. Prosecutors filed a first-degree aggravated murder charge against Robinson and intend to pursue the death penalty, with Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray saying he made the decision based on the available evidence and circumstances.
Robinson was also charged with other crimes, including felony discharge of a gun causing injury and obstruction of justice, and faces 25 years to life in prison if he avoids the death penalty.
