BREAKING: UPS plane crashes in Louisville, KY

Emergency crews are responding to reports of plane crash at the Muhammad Ali International Airport in Louisville, Kentucky.

“There has been an incident near the airport. A shelter-in-place has been issued for all locations within 5 miles of the airport. Please remain away from the area until further notice,” Louisville Metropolitan Police posted on X.

The plane that crashed was a UPS flight headed to Hawaii. The aircraft was a McDonnell Douglas MD-11, FOX News Senior Congressional Correspondent Chad Pergram reports.

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear says he’s aware of the crash in a post on X.

“Kentucky, we are aware of a reported plane crash near Louisville International Airport,” Beshear posed. “First responders are onsite, and we will share more information as available. Please pray for the pilots, crew and everyone affected. We will share more soon.”
