Brandt Snedeker has been named a captain’s assistant for the 2024 Presidents Cup, which will be contested later this month in Montreal.

He will join Stewart Cink, Justin Leonard, and Kevin Kisner on the staff of captain Jim Furyk. Snedeker, 43, replaces Keegan Bradley, who was named as the fourth captain’s assistant in August, then later was tabbed by Furyk as a captain’s pick for the 12-player U.S. team.

The Presidents Cup will take place at The Royal Montreal Golf Club on Sept. 24-29.

This is the first time Snedeker will serve as a captain’s assistant. He competed in the 2013 Presidents Cup at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, and was a member of the U.S. team at the Ryder Cup in 2012 and 2016.

Snedeker has won nine PGA Tour events, plus the 2012 FedEx Cup.

“I was honored to get the call from Jim and thrilled to accept this role as one of his captain’s assistants for the Presidents Cup,” Snedeker said. “He’s someone I’ve looked up to throughout my career and I know will be a strong leader for the U.S. Team at Royal Montreal. My goal is to add a trusted voice to our players throughout the week and do everything I can to help us pull out the win.”

The U.S. team consists of automatic qualifiers Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Wyndham Clark, Patrick Cantlay, and Sahith Theegala, as well as Furyk’s captain’s picks — Bradley, Sam Burns, Tony Finau, Brian Harman, Russell Henley, and Max Homa.

Finding success in the world of professional golf requires talent, dedication, and perseverance. Brandt Snedeker, a seasoned golfer with an impressive resume, has recently been named a captain’s assistant for the upcoming 2024 Presidents Cup. This prestigious event, set to take place in Montreal, will see Snedeker working alongside other notable figures like Stewart Cink, Justin Leonard, and Kevin Kisner under the leadership of captain Jim Furyk.

The decision to appoint Snedeker as a captain’s assistant comes as no surprise given his extensive experience in the sport. Aged 43, Snedeker has participated in multiple major tournaments, including the 2013 Presidents Cup and the Ryder Cup in both 2012 and 2016. With nine PGA Tour wins and a FedEx Cup title to his name, he brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to the table.

In a statement regarding his new role, Snedeker expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with Furyk and contribute to the U.S. Team’s success at the Presidents Cup. He emphasized the importance of providing support and guidance to his fellow players, aiming to help secure a victory for the team. This collaborative approach and dedication to the sport have defined Snedeker’s career and made him a respected figure among his peers.

As the event at The Royal Montreal Golf Club draws near, anticipation is high for the U.S. Team, which includes a mix of automatic qualifiers and Furyk’s selected players. From Scottie Scheffler to Max Homa, these individuals will come together to represent their country and showcase their talent on the international stage. With Snedeker’s guidance and the team’s collective effort, they aim to emerge victorious in this highly competitive tournament.

In conclusion, the journey to success in professional golf is paved with challenges and triumphs. Brandt Snedeker’s appointment as a captain’s assistant for the 2024 Presidents Cup is a testament to his dedication and skill in the sport. As he joins forces with his teammates under the leadership of Jim Furyk, the stage is set for an exciting and competitive event at The Royal Montreal Golf Club. With a strong lineup of players and a shared goal of bringing home the win, the U.S. Team is poised for an unforgettable performance on the course.
