Ben Affleck’s nude line-dancing scene was cut from his new movie, The Accountant 2.
That revelation came from the director of the Affleck-led film, Gavin O’Connor. O’Connor appeared with Affleck on a panel to discuss the new movie at SXSW. The panel was one of several media appearances by Affleck at the festival in Texas.
Although most people would be nervous to line-dance naked in front of a mirror on screen, Affleck indicated he wished the scene wasn’t cut.
“Please don’t talk about my nude scene,” Affleck said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

O’Connor responded, “There was a nude scene, but we cut it out. He practiced line dancing in front of a mirror, naked.”
“It was a choice and I liked it,” said Affleck, according to THR.
Affleck made the comments after the movie’s world premiere.
“For me, the challenge, of course, was the months and months I spent training to line dance. It was a stunt for me,” Affleck said in Austin. “Tom Cruise has nothing on me.”
He then clarified, according to Variety: “In terms of line dancing.”
Affleck was also joined in Austin by his longtime friend, actor Matt Damon, who posed with him at the event.

The Accountant 2 will be in theaters on April 25, 2025. Affleck returns as Christian Wolff, who “applies his brilliant mind and illegal methods to reconstruct the unsolved puzzle of a Treasury chief’s murder,” the film’s IMDb caption reads. Jon Bernthal joins Affleck on screen in the movie.
“He is equal parts a beautiful person as he is a beautiful artist,” Bernthal said of Affleck, labeling him a hero. “Making movies for me is usually knocking my head into a wall and kind of hating myself, so this was very easy.”
