More than 30 passengers are dead after an Azerbaijan Airlines flight crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Now, U.S. officials believe Russian air defences may have downed the plane that crashed.
According to reports, new images of the wreckage of Azerbaijan Airlines flight JS-8243 show the flight appears to have been struck by numerous fragments or other similar objects before crash-landing in Kazakhstan on Christmas Day. The jet has hundreds of holes of various size — some resembling bullet holes, others larger.
LiveNOW’s Andrew Craft spoke about the new reports with retired Marine intelligence officer Hal Kempfer.
